So this is gonna be my first Contest ever and I´m kind of excited! ^.^
Any styles are allowed. Many prizes inside! Just have fun! Please make sure you read the rules.

Rules

- no NSFW, sexual content, ecchi, etc.!!
- any styles are allowed (chibi, semi realistic, anime, etc.)
- traditional and digital got the same chance to win
- photomanupilation is accepted, but will be judged harder, to make it fair
- gore can be fine it it fits with the fantasy/warrior theme (like drawing them fighting against warriors or beasts)
- be a watcher or watch me (you can unwatch me later if you want)
- make a journal about this
- link me and this journal under your uploaded submission/entry
- write "gaia" when you post your entry here, so I know you read the rules.
- you can upload as many entries as you want, but you can only win one price (quality for quantity)

What will raise your chances

- I prefer digital to traditional and semi realistic to anime style
- effort and quality is more important than style
- stay true to the characters (you can ask me about them any time!)
- I prefer the original outfits, but if you find fantasy themed ones which match to them you can change them.
(But choose carefully: colours, matching to personalities...)
- If you got a total freaky idea and draw them as animals, furries, 21h century styled or whatever..feel free to.
But I will judge it harder to make it fair for other participants.

Short informations

My story is stil in progress and this contest is to help me out with my writing blockade / giving me a better idea of my characters. They don´t have a fixed personality yet, so I cannot say much. None of the characters are able to fly. I´m still not sure how they show their elemental powers. Maybe by weapons or mental, but that´s not clear, so you are totally free on that! It´s just sure that they find out about them later or get them later and not from the beginning.

Réka (♀)
- cheeky, but kind hearted
- got rich parents
- power: water, weapon: spear
- relations: seems to be interested in Erion, but annoys him
Reka 03.10.2016

Oisin (♂)
- shy and silent, is friend with all animals
- the youngest person in group
- lives in the forest and hides his deery horns and ears under a cape
- has lost his parents
- power: forest, weapon: wooden staff
- relations: got a crush on Yue when seeing for the first time. Sees Erion as hero.

Yue (?)
- androgyn (He or she? Who knows..)
- is a secret person yet and meets the group much later in the story and seems to be a villain
- spiritual connection to Lumina (like they were opposites)
- power: dark, weapon: bow and arrow
- There is no interaction between Yue and the others together. Yue is the one I cannot tell more about, because it´s part of a secret coming out later in the story. When Lumina sees Yue the first time she is really surprised and confused. She seems to know her somehow. The spiritual connection is part of the secret coming out later. But what I can say is that they feel when the other one is near and they feel that the other one is still alive.

Lumina (♀)
- main character
- thoughtful, kind and searches for the truth
- power: light, weapon: learns fighting with the others to search for the right weapon
- relations: falls in love with Kaya, before they know well, cause it was kind of rescue
and Kaya takes care about her.

Kaya (?)
- androgyn and seems to be popular by males and females
(Males see Kaya as attractive woman and females as handsome guy)
- keeps a secret about the past and doesn´t talk about feelings, is smart and intelligent
- strong (physically and mentally), but "cold", also kind and got the role of a protector
- power: earth/rock, weapon: sword
- relations: protects Lumina and teaches her a lot about fighting and the world. Opens feelings/past step by step but only to her.

Erion (♂)
- cold and silent, often fights with Kaya (maybe too similar in character? Who is stronger..etc.)
- strong and fast
- can´t handle with (giving and taking) compliments. Can´t show feelings. He was totally different as child, but he changed over years. Everyone he loved treated him bad and he never got the love back he gave. That made him turn into a broken man wirh bad behavior.
- power: wind, weapon: boomerang
- relations: got mad when Oisin talks about Yue. Talks bad about that person,
but secretly finds Yue breath taking. Finds Réka annoying and messes with Kaya.
- He got knowledge about fighting and other stuff. He´s intelligent and silent. When Oisin askes him something or someone is wondering about anything they see, he says the facts he knows randomly. But with a serious face. If someone tgives him a compliment he can´t handle with it. He blushes but doesn´t want someone seing that. Sometimes he just don´t answer or starts a fight (for example if it was Kaya or Réka). Cause he thinks they´re making fun of him (the three are often fighting/rude to each other). He do has feelings, but keeps them inside to prevent being hurt again. So the most people may think he´s an total asshole, but he got his reasons and inside is a kind and caring person. He finds Yue attractive, but would never admite or accept that. Yue won´t be a big part in the story, so I only got that vision that when he sees that person he got that face expression like "WOW!" but then quickly tries to look serious and is rude to Yue.

Short story background

(sorry for my bad English) As some of you may noticed, these characters are part of a fantasy story I´m working on. I don´t want to say too much, but here is some background:
Lumina is living in a small village, which is walled to keep people away from a giant hollow/canyon. The village elders try to keep everyone away from the world outside and teach them "the holy legend of gaia". The legend says that once the evil nature of human had overcome the whole earth. All the greed, murder and recklessness to other beings, nature and each other, was filling mother gaia (a giant tree of life) with deep grief and pure anger. So Gaia raised its giant roots out of the ground and pulled down all life into the hollow/canyon wich has not grew together again. They claim that the villagers are the only ones left on the planet and that mother Gaia itself gave them birth. Everyone believes in that stories and keep living their lifes. It´s a peaceful and ordinary life. Lumina has to listen and learn all the Gaia Tales in a kind of academy where the young villagers are "forced" to go.
Alleged the eldest want them to feel part of the nature and that noone forgets again about their roots and try to prevent the desaster happening again. It would be for the last time then for sure. Lumina is a calm girl and first enjoys her life. She got a wonderful family. Her parents are warm hearted and never stopped being love-birds. She also has a little brother named Veli. He loves to go to the academy and can´t get enough of learning about it. While his sister begins to ask herself if there was another world outside the walls. She got a guilty conscience for questioning the life she knows and the family she loves. But deep inside she wants more. How can the eldest be sure that the planet hasn´t recovered yet? Or do they know something noone should know? Do they really want to protect them? The more she asks, the more she finds out. The only one who shares her dreams about a world outside is her best friend. The girls feel connected to each other and although they are no sisters, they are the only ones with long ears. Another reason for being suspicious. Her friend´s father has died in fire when somehow their house went up in flames. After this she never stopped searching for the reason and didn´t believe in an accident. Someone must have killed him, but why? Did he find something out? One day she asked Lumina for meeting her at night at a special place. She found something out, but can´t tell her when someone is listening. Lumina went there and waited for hours, but her best friend didn´t come. This was too untypical to her.. The next morning her parents woke her up. Everyone seemed to be excited, sad and in trouble. All villagers were standing outside. Lumina´s friend disappeared. The eldest claim the only reason could be that she tried to climb over the walls by night and found her death. This would be what they warned everyone about. The only evidence left was a piece of her clothes. Then Lumina realised that there is something more big hiding she could ever know. She was there at night and must have seen her friend or the pieces of cloth. The eldest are lying..What are they hiding? Did her friend found out what her father did before? Did they kill her or is she still alive? The coming night she went again to the place where her friend wanted her to wait. When she realized a part of fresh soil on the ground. Her heart stopped beating for a while.. Is "she" burried there..?

The story continues that Lumina finds a way out. There is a world outside the walls but it´s far away from her imaginations. No blooming forests, waterfalls and wonderful creatures.. Her journey starts in a dark rotten forest, where the first human she saw was Kaya. Kaya is really androgyn (I won´t tell if it´s a he or she) and from that moment Lumina saw Kaya as knight/rescuer.
Although Kaya can´t open to her or other people and sometimes is a bit rude, Kaya always knows ho to find the right words to make Lumina feel better. Then a detail: Lumina is a day dreamer and once she started to get a weird dream which seem to continue a bit more each times she got that dream. This dream started when she was thinking about a world outside and talking with her best friend. It feels like a call to her that she must search for the truth and find what is calling her. The night before "losing" her best friend that dream came again: Lumina is standing in front of a hollow/canyon. The walls are shattering/disappearing and a figure with wings comes closer to her, but it´s blurred and she cannot see who it is. Also the voice seems to be unclear and misplaced. She´s losing the ground and feels to fall. Then the figure carry her in their arms while then the ground changes into a field of flowers and unknows creatures like animals appear. In her dreams she asks who it is and what happened. The figure said "I´m here to show you the truth. I am.." Then it´s like a cut. One moment everything is black and she screams to the figure not to leave. In the next scene shes standing with her best friend in front of the walls if nothing happened. Lumina askes her if she was the one who rescued her. Her friend reolies "Can you see this world? This is not a dream no more. I´m so happy.."

You can imagine the world they are living at as a real mess. There is no much nature, every city got it´s own vice and bad people. The "heroes" need to find out the truth and want to change the world. They are seeking for Gaia and got a long journey throw that awful world.

Sounds weird in that form. But I hope it helps. x(
